KHAO LAK, THAILAND – I visit the Tsunami Memorial in Khao Lak Thailand to reflect on the 2004 Boxing Day Tsunami tragedy in Thailand and around the Indian Ocean. I’m sure we have all seen footage from the tsunami or even a tsunami Thailand documentary, but nothing compares to visiting the area which was impacted. Before leaving on my travel day to Khao Lak in Phang Nga province. I eat Thai street food for breakfast. I choose to have duck noodles. They were delicious. I then head to the Ban Nam Khem Tsunami Memorial Center. Finally, after arriving in Khao Lak, I give you a tour of my accommodation.

  1. The Tsunami also killed 179 Finnish nationals, our current President Sauli Niinistรถ was there with his son then at the time and they escaped the flosh flood created by the tsunami by hanging on to one of the street lights – at the top of the light pole – that's how high the water was.

  2. Hi Joe, I will have instant noodles with Arugula for lunch at work today, but I will imagine eating what you are eating ๐Ÿ˜…. On a serious note, I just said a prayer for those souls that the Tsunami took. Blessings to all.๐Ÿ™
