In this video of Living the Jo Life, we go on a day trip to the Mekong River Delta in Vietnam. After a 2-hour drive from Saigon, we embarked on a bike tour through enchanting coconut and banana plantations. We cruised down narrow paths that revealed the vibrant local life. Along the way, we stopped at a bustling local market, where we indulged in the flavors of Vietnam’s exotic fruits. Our journey continued as we ventured to a pomelo farm, where we discovered the secrets behind this delicious citrus fruit, and the hard work that goes into its cultivation. Along the bike ride, we stopped at a local restaurant, where we were served some delicious local Vietnamese food. A highlight awaited us at the Mekong River itself, where we hopped on a charming horse carriage that took us to a boat, ready to ferry us to a island in the middle of the river. On the island, we went on a small canoe, navigating through the narrow waterways, surrounded by magnificent water coconut palms, before heading back to the mainland around sunset for our drive back to Saigon. We can definitely recommend this tour.
