A trip up the Mt Tsurumi Ropeway to the top of the mountain at 1375m (4511 ft) with a commanding view of the city of Beppu and its bay. You can also see numerous shrines and mini-temples at the top as well. The weather in this video frankly was not ideal, and other places like Inasayama in Nagasaki or Sarakurayama in Kitakyushu have much better views (as well as night views), but if you have a chance to go up Tsurumi on a clear day, ir is well worth it. The best time is in mid afternoon when the sun is over or behind you for taking photos and video. The last car going up is 5:30 PM and it closes at 6:00 – and if you’re lucky, you might see a few wild deer nearby as well.
