Super Comfortable! First Class “Gran Class” on Japan’s Shinkansen (Tokyo to Morioka)

I was able to purchase a Gran Class train from Tokyo to Morioka for 10,000 yen (US$76.9) through a campaign held in conjunction with JR East’s 150th anniversary of railroad operations, so I took the trip.
Instead of the Hayabusa, which stops at two stations on the way from Tokyo to Morioka and takes 2 hours and 10 minutes, I took the Yamabiko, which takes 3 hours and 18 minutes, stopping at about 13 stations along the way.
There were no on-board sales, so we just relaxed in the ultra-comfortable seats for 3 hours and 18 minutes.
In Morioka, I tried wanko soba. Guess how many bowls of wanko soba I could eat!
