If you know me, you know that sushi is one of my favorite types of Japanese food! Join me as I visit Kura Sushi, one of the largest conveyor belt sushi chains in Japan. I was super excited when I arrived and found there are a lot of different menu items than what is available at Kura Sushi in the US. What are some of the must try items when you visit? Cool! Glad you got your own booth! Yes, glad you got to try the original Kura Sushi!! They have a lot more food selections there! Definitely cheaper than here in the US lol.. I'll need to fly over there one day and try it..
Great variety and value! That is such a great way to try new things without breaking the bank👍😊
I always get so excited when one of your videos, especially, or if you are in one of your friend's or acquaintance's videos. I had to downsize the food videos because I found myself gaining unwanted weight for some reason. 🤣. The power of suggestion. I LOVE unagi also. That's eel? I've had it grilled and it's the best! I've had blue and yellow fin tuna in the can and it's far superior than other tunas, but that's my opinion. I did visit the fish market along the sea when I visited Japan the last time. No taste testing, however I DID go to a geisha house. Perhaps that's something you could do on a visit? They were very open and allowed filming. If I can send you pictures of the proprietor's son you might be able to contact him. He was quite nice looking I thought. I'm only assuming this judging by his expressions, he wanted to ask me a lot of personal questions, but the time wasn't right. And I mean PERSONAL QUESTIONS. I had a few for him as well, but our lives were different and distance made for difficult friendship. I don't know his name, the name of his business or the name of my guide. My ex husband was in control of everything, as always. We were in Kyoto I think? Very beautiful place. Old and seemed untouched by modernization. Jason, you look like a tall man, your head may touch the ceiling in one of the rentals if you go that route. 😊. Also, the fish market tour, I don't recall the name, "tsk" something. Along the walk, there was a fugu shop on the walk. I WANTED SO BADLY TO TRY FUGU! I saw a hanging puffer fish on the side of this stand. I have the picture. There was a rolling heater I think of batter fried fish on a stick. Like our hotdogs in that glass case at gas stations. I've never had one. I'm leary of food like that or food trucks. But this was my fugu chance. I wanted one BADLY! I either pushed my husband or I went up and placed two orders. I can be bold if I really want something like changing the wrong stamps in Paris or ordering fresh fish from a van in Turkey. Anyway, the butcher came out with a bloody apron and pulled two fried fish on a stick and put that mayonaise on one and I am really allergic to eggs, so I had to stop him from putting it on the second fish. My husband had the money and paid. EVERYONE IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD RAN OVER AND STARED AT US!! I ran away. I told you this story. The fish was very mild. It was like a white fish, Pollack like. Non descript. Not fishy, but I did get hallucinations from it. My mouth was numb and I had pixelation vision. Like drinking Absinthe. I was hungry and wanted another, but my husband cut the fun short and said we should go home and have a real meal. No fun. I should have argued with him. I had whale too. It wasn't very good. At least to me it wasn't very good. It tasted very mineral like. I am not a duck, lamb or gamy type of person. This wasn't my kind of thing besides the consuming of a mammal thing. But, I would have had another go at the fried fugu on a stick. It probably was cheaper than your fugu too. My mom said DON'T EAT STREET FUGU. I figured if I couldn't move everyone there would have called an ambulance and told the hospital staff what happened. Or at least I hoped they would? Let us know if you felt anything from tour fugu. Very curious. 😉.
Epic feed! I used to go to Kura a lot but haven't been in a while. These days I usually go to Hamazushi or Kappa but it looks like they are pretty creative there 👍
