Welcome to Tokyo’s famous red-light district, Kabukicho. Known for its bright lights and bustling streets, this neighborhood is a must-see for anyone visiting Tokyo. Home to the famous iconic Godzilla monument in hotel Gracery. However, it’s important to know what to do and what to avoid while exploring this area.

One of the most popular things to do in Kabukicho is to visit one of the many bars and clubs that the neighborhood is known for. From traditional Japanese bars to modern nightclubs, to host clubs, there is something for everyone here. Be sure to check out the Golden Gai, a small alleyway lined with unique and intimate bars.

Another popular activity in Kabukicho is shopping. The neighborhood is home to a variety of shops and stores, including many electronics shops and arcades. It’s also a great place to find unique and traditional Japanese souvenirs.

However, it’s also important to be aware of the seedier side of Kabukicho. The area is known for its illegal activities, such as prostitution and organized crime. Visitors should be cautious when walking alone at night and should avoid any suspicious or unsavory establishments.

Overall, Kabukicho is a must-see destination for anyone visiting Tokyo, but it’s important to be aware of the potential dangers and to stay safe while exploring.

  1. The narrator is correct
There are many clubs & drinking establishments that do not allow foreigners. Frankly, you can not blame them.

  2. Someone telling you what to do in red light districts is different depending on whether they are a woman or a man.

  3. Kabukicho is fun for wandering around, checking out different bars and such, but the Nigerian Men who "constantly harass you", to get a drink somewhere, or a girl, made me never want to return. RUINED my whole experience there. Golden Gai is better.

  4. Hello, 🐦🦋May I share an Old Testament Verse with you from Daniel 7:14 "And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a Kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should SERVE Him; his dominion is an Everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom shall not pass away, and His Kingdom that which shall not be destroyed." Also, can I share Isaiah 53:5 " But HE was WOUNDED For our TRANSGRESSIONS, he was BRUISED for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and with His STRIPES we are HEALED."

God the Father loves you so much that He sent Holy Sinless Jesus (His Holy Son) to earth to be born of a virgin. Then, to grow up and die on a cross for our sins. He was in the tomb for 3 days, then Father God raised Holy and Sinless Jesus Christ (Y'shua) to Life! He appeared to people and went back to Heaven. We must receive Sinless Jesus sincerely to be God's child(John 1:12).After we get saved by grace through faith in Christ, if we truly love the Lord Jesus Christ, then we will obey Jesus(John 14:15). Mark 1:15 "And saying, the time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: Repent ye, and believe the gospel." Jesus said in John 14:15 "If you love Me, keep My commandments. "There's a real hell. It says in Revelation 21:8 "But for the cowardly, & unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, & immoral persons sorcerers & idolaters & all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire & brimstone…" Please sincerely receive Holy Jesus and put your true faith and trust in Him today and please repent. Will you have a Real encounter with Holy Lord Jesus (Y'shua is His Hebrew Name) and stay in a Genuine relationship with Him daily please?

  5. I stayed in Kabukicho on Hanamichi-dori St. in January and I found it a great place to hang out because there is always things going on, and there are so many good places to eat. I wandered around during the day and at night and apart from the guys trying to get you to go into some of the bars or strip clubs after dark, it's about the friendliest "red light district" I've ever seen. During the day, its just a normal inner city area. Just use a bit of common sense, be respectful of the locals, and don't go anywhere that looks sus and its fine.

  6. 0:00 Circular Quay, Sydney, Australia 🦘🇦🇺
Curiously, the overhead drone shot footage omits the famous Opera House, which the done just passed. Sydney Tower is to the left.

  7. do I see yakuzas punching each other and throw mothorbikes at each other while a crowd is shouting in Kabuchiko?

  8. The biggest problem in this area is the African people who try to tempt you on the street to enter a massage parlor or a girls' bar. These are the most dangerous. I almost got into a fight with one on the street because he pulled my hand to come with him.

  9. Wow, just like the Yakuza game! I never gave it much thought, but the game devs really made it as realistic as possible.

  10. I would approach this with caution. Although, I would probably not find it overly interesting since I don't drink or gamble. Knowing about the so called "host" clubs and such makes it easy to avoid them. Noisy bars and night clubs are a total turn off for me so I would avoid them anyway. Having a good look at ゴジラ(Gojira or Godzilla) up close would be worth the effort. Otherwise, it's just another overly hyped tourist trap area.

  11. I did preccovid. I went to Robot Restaurant. Sadly I was told It closed permanently during Covid19

  12. Those bargian love hotels also have no charge hidden cameras, if you find less than 15 you're already ahead in the game! But some don't mind paying for porn and then seeing themselves a few years younger on the big flat screen the room has. Take a cheap detector with you, even the $6 ones on AliExpress that see the infra red work fine although most cameras see IR as well, so your phone's camera might even work. Turn off all the lights with your phone cam on, and look for IR light sources because the damn things are cheap and everywhere!

  13. I`ve lived in JPN off and on since `96 and have come across Yakuza 4-5 times by chance (low level thugs on the train, local heads meeting at high end restaurant, local festival near my place…)….like anywhere in the world, if you`re looking for trouble, you will find it….

  14. The easy way to avoid most scams in the area is an extremely simple piece of advice that no one will tell you because they'd rather YOU get scammed than get THEMSELVES called a racist…
Funny to watch them always dance around the issue or maybe show you a quick clip of the "kind of people" who try to pull you into the bars where you get drugged & robbed.

  15. I stayed in this area. I usually woke up early in the morning to start my day in Tokyo. Around 8:00am. Most of Kabukicho was still sleeping. On several occasions, I would see Gaijin lying on the street passed out. It looked like they were drugged and left on the vacant streets. I didn't check but I am sure all of their money was gone. Their wallet was probably still there because the Japanese are polite. Watch out for the Touts!!!!!!!

  16. Bring lots of. $$$$$$$$$$$$$ with you. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
