  1. I was on Rhapsody last week (Rome to Athens) and had a great time. I think some of the venues were a bit understaffed compared to previous RCL cruises, but still love my cruise.

  2. Looking forward to trying this one. It seems like it is similar to Jewel OTS, which we love.

  3. My only cruise, on a different line, was on a ship of about the same size; it's worth noting if you only have seen or been on the newest and largest ships, these mid-size cruise ships actually feel much larger than you realize compared to the commercials Royal Caribbean shows featuring the giant amusement park style ships.

  4. Rhapsody made her maiden voyage on May 19, 1997, making her the second oldest active Royal Caribbean ship behind Grandeur which made her maiden voyage on December 14, 1996.

  5. I saw article that Royal is now having Starbucks coffee as part of beverage package? When will that start? Or is it currently already being done if you haven’t started your upcoming cruise yet?

  6. Thank you for this comprehensive video. In November we will return to Vision of the Seas. RCI has made several upgrades since our previous cruise in 2008.

  7. Question:
We're preparing to cruise Rhapsody OTS. We've bought the 3 Night Dining Package.

What / How exactly should we expect to pay in the Speciality Restaurants (Chops, Giovanni and Izumi) ?

  8. On August 5th the Rhapsody OTS will start cruising from the port of Haifa Israel, which will be her new home port for the next 3 months.
Thank you very much for this video, which came just in time because I'm taking a cruise on her in 3 weeks.

  9. which reminds me. We've booked a one bedroom grand suite. I've noticed that they're right below the windjammer. Do you have any recommendations as to which one might have less noise than others? Right now we're booked in 8016. Should we just stick with that one?

  10. This definitely reminds me of classic Royal Caribbean ships I briefly remember taking a Royal Caribbean cruise in 2006/2007 on I think Sovereign Of The Seas (I was only 6/7 so I don’t remember everything). The design of this ship is Definitely close to what I remember. I definitely prefer the Oasis Class ships but I love the nostalgia from these older ships. I also prefer the Royal Promenade deck but seeing the atrium gives me nostalgia as well from my first Royal Caribbean ship.

  11. One thing about the older ships that I wish the newer Oasis class ships had is the unique designs the solarium pools have on the older ships. I wonder why they kind of stopped making the solarium pools have a international theme or unique design to them.

  12. I read reports that the beds on Rhapsody of The Seas are old and uncomfortable. Is that true? If so are there any plans to change them for new ones? 🛌⚓️🛳

  13. Royal needs to make brand new smaller ships. I personally wouldn't go on these old ships even if they got amplified.

  14. Can you make a vid about legend of the seas as that was the first ship I went on Royal Caribbean

  15. Great video! I did NOT realize there was SO much to offer in such a smaller ship! THANX!

  16. Rhapsody was the first cruise ship I ever boarded: A 10 day cruise around the Hawaiian Islands back in September 2001.

  17. The vision class is what got me into cruising, it was the bread and butter of RCCL before they kept bringing things to the next level. First with Voyager… then to Oasis… and now with ICON !

  18. We will be on this ship in March 2023. We started out on the Oasis class ship and didn't care for the size and mega crowds. We have progressively cruised on smaller ships. This will be the smallest by far, but we are looking forward to it. Thanks for posting the tour.

  19. This size up to Freedom Class ships are great. We like to CRUISE, we don’t need the gimmicks and crowds of the mega ships.

  20. Was on this ship doing a Western Caribbean tour in 2002 It was so beautiful. We had a balcony suite, with full tub & shower nicely appointed. I loved the solarium area. The food was good, at midnight they did a chocolate buffet where the chefs did every kind of chocolate you can think of presented beautifully. Entertainment was great as was the disco. I know now it’s older but she was a class act then. Loved her!

  21. This seems a bit old and tired looking, more so than even some of the other smaller ships, like Radience…this just looks like it really needs a refresh

  22. I was on the Rhapsody of the Seas a at the 28th October. There was a wonderful couple of dancers (I believe they were from Ukraine) . I wish to get to know more about them. Where can I find their names? I think the name of the show was "Broadway.."

  23. Hi Matt, thank you for the tour of Rhapsody of the seas, I was in the YouTube live stream this evening 14th of November and appreciate you answering my question about the Panama Canal group cruise, so then I checked out the rhapsody of the seas video and thanking about the room cruise and possibly booking hopefully they have accessible cabins available, thanks again Matt

  24. Had our honeymoon on this ship back in June. Sadly the royal suite experience was lacking but aside from that it was wonderful, I love the smaller ships.

  25. Can someone let me know if a passport is needed on this type of cruise I just realized mine is expired and was hope to save some money and just renewing later

  26. I really wish at times that people would look at a dictionary at times before making a statement which is wrong. MDR is NOT complmentary at all which mens free anyway, it is included in the cruise fare so NOT complimentary.
