Japan is known as having the BEST car scene in the world, so you knowww we had to hit up a car meet! And what better “welcome to Japan” gift than to run into the cleanest E36 M3 I’ve ever seen in my life, right in the airport parking lot not too long after I landed!
Right after being picked up, we headed straight to 📍Daikoku Parking Area in Yokohama. This place is known for one of the best unorganized spontaneous car meets in Japan. For being a random place where random people randomly meet up, it was surprisingly very organized! People would line their cars up neatly in the parking lot, and everyone was very respectful of each other (no revving or burnouts). All of the cars were pristine and modified beautifully, and none of the cars were beat up (except for the drift cars, of course 😂). It was the best car meet I’ve ever been to in my life! They even had a food court with really bomb Japanese food, and restrooms!
The only downside is that this place is ONLY accessible by car (no train or walking). And because this place is technically a rest stop, you’re not supposed to have a car meet here so the cops eventually kicked us out (in a surprisingly respectful way). But at least we got to cruise home with a Nissan S15 and a Toyota Chaser!
