  1. Wait I thought the Philippines still requires everyone to wear masks. Filmed pre 2020?

  2. Outstanding video. Few things I've observed in the video, yes you look really exhausted travelling from point A to point Z at Changi international airport to get to the boarding gate, second is the reason for additional screenings is probably connecting flight to the US mainland and Hawaii is Department of Homeland Security and Department of Agriculture(prevention of entry of food and veggies into the United States) has made instructions to all airlines and airport operetors to do extensive and additional checks to all passengers entering into the United States even if passengers are US passport holders hence that's why you had to go through additional screenings from Singapore to Honolulu via Manila and last is the food, I'm impressed with the selection of food for a long flight including goodies. With respect to choice of dietary preferences like veg and fish items, airlines should had made accommodation to give preference dietary for veg and fish items. Overall it's a great video and a big thumbs-up 👍.

  3. I was flying to SFO from MNL last month and the additional security at the gate took less than 5 minutes. Hardly worth mentioning. I see this all the time on international flights back to the US.

  4. I love flying on Philippine Airlines. Their meals on flights from Manila are really better as compared to Manila-bound flights.

  5. Hello Christine, I flew Philippine Air on my last trip to the Philippines and Thailand, I do recall all the security checks on a short layover in Manila. Bags claimed and re-checked along with your Passports, which didn't seem necessary. The process took so long, because of the number of people in transit, that the Phil. Air flight on to NY had to be delayed. That was in 2019, there must be a better solution…

  6. FYI, if your layover going to the USA via country to country of course you will pass through security checks depending on each countries regulations. Another thing, SG to MNL is only about 2 hours in a 777 or smaller aircraft the service wont be the same as the ones with longer flight. Compare to interstates flights within the US like Delta, American or United they only serve cookies or chips, PAL to Manila served a lot better than the US airlines. Probably if you travel First Class you will have a better flight next time.

  7. So many bag checks 🥴 don't get me wrong I understand for security purposes but atleast give me a free drink or snack as a compensation lol
