What in the world are these statues doing wearing knitted hats? š§¶š
Daishoin Temple sits perched on Mt. Misenāthe tallest mountain on Itsukushima Island in Hiroshima Prefecture. It is an expansive temple with more than a few statues lining the pathways. Most of the statues at this temple can be found wearing quite warm-looking knitted hats. With so many statues, it must take a long time and a lot of work to keep such clean hats on all of them! The templeās followers are likely busy year-round knitting colorful hats. It certainly makes the temple feel warm and inviting!
