If you feel like your luck could use a boost, it might be good to visit Hiyoshi Shrine in Yanagawa City, Fukuoka! From the end of the year to the beginning of April, you can step through the 7-foot-tall mouth of this giant Otafuku mask. Often seen as an auspicious decoration, the otafuku literally means “much good fortune,” and stepping through the mouth is said to bring happiness! ☺️⛩️
