A tree that will bloom you away! 🌸

Standing majestically in the city of Shimada in Shizuoka Prefecture is Ushinshiro no mizume sakura, a grand Edohigan cherry blossom tree. This type of cherry blossom tree grows naturally in the mountains of Honshu, Shikoku and Kyushu and is known to stand tall for generations – this particular tree is more than 300 years old and 20 metres tall! The contrast between the pink cherry blossoms and lush greenery of the tea fields makes this view look like a painting, created by no other than Mother Nature herself. 🎨
