Go on a journey to find Pokémon all over Japan!

Did you know the Pokémon series is so popular worldwide that more than 380 million units of the game have been shipped internationally? The animated TV shows have also been broadcast in 183 areas globally.

You can find Pokémon in Japan by looking for these special manhole covers, each with its own unique Pokémon illustration, currently known as “Poké Lids”.
These “Poké Lids” have been installed in more than 200 locations ― from Hokkaido in the north, to Okinawa in the south ― and are linked to the location-based game “Pokémon GO” for smartphones.

In addition, each region has an “Ambassadorial Pokémon”, which is engaged in “Acts” to promote Japan’s various localities by highlighting their charms at home and abroad. A variety of souvenirs and local specialties made with a Pokémon touch are sold there, with some items not being able to be purchased anywhere else.

Why don’t you add the experience of traveling around Japan and experiencing various Pokémon attractions to your next travel itinerary?
