Typically, fireworks festivals in Japan occur in the summer months (June to August); however, the Atami Fireworks Festival in Shizuoka Prefecture is held more than 10 times throughout the year, giving you ample chances to see Atami Castle illuminated spectacularly. This year marks the 70th anniversary of the festival. Whilst the difficult situation, the festivals have been held from March, and are scheduled until December so far.
*Please note that the fireworks for July 30, August 5 and 9 this year are canceled. Subsequent schedules are subject to change depending on the situation.
