You can’t get more quintessential Japan than having a view of Mt Fuji and a bright red pagoda during sakura season. Banzai!
++ How to get there ++
Chureito Pagoda is accessible from Kawaguchiko or Fujiyoshida (closer), both in Yamanashi. Since these are touristy areas, there are multiple modes of transportation and there’s plenty of information online.
We rented a car from Tokyo. Technically, Chureito Pagoda can be done as a day trip but it wasn’t possible in our case because we went on a weekend and traffic around Yokohama was terrible.
