Hasedera is one of the oldest temples in Kamakura and is a stunning spot to visit at any time of year, but we particularly love visiting in June when its hydrangeas bloom and transform the temple’s hill-top gardens into a sea of pink, blue and green.
TOP TIP: An easy day-trip from Tokyo by train, the delightful former capital of Kamakura offers other gems, including Meigetsuin Temple also famous for its hydrangea blooms. #VisitJapanAU #Nature
