Several thousand of Tokyo’s 110,000 police, fire department, medical and veterinary workers, among others, received their first COVID-19 vaccine doses on Tuesday at the former site of Tsukiji Market, which is slated to be repurposed as a parking lot during the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games in July.
