The stuff dreams are made of. ✨♨️ It’s hard to tear your eyes away from Ginzan Onsen’s atmospheric streets lined with traditional ryokan and twinkling street lamps.
Whilst you may be familiar with the sight of Ginzan Onsen during winter, a trip in spring or summer opens up a whole host of new opportunities. Nestled deep in the mountains of Yamagata Prefecture, the nearby forests, mountains and waterfalls are waiting to be explored.
📍Conveniently connected to Tokyo, Ginzan Onsen is a 3.5-hour train ride on the JR Yamagata Shinkansen to Oishida Station (covered by the Japan Rail Pass). From here catch a bus to Ginzan Onsen, which takes 35 minutes.
