At many temples and shrines across Japan it’s worth looking up – you’re likely to encounter some beautiful carvings or artwork, and that’s certainly the case at Kochi’s Iwamoto Temple! Close to 600 painted tiles line the ceiling of the temple’s main hall, and we are in awe of it!
