A great addition to a winter road trip, it’s also worth the journey on public transport too, with the JR Tadami Line offering stunning views of rustic alpine scenery and charming towns.
Take the shinkansen to Koriyama Station and transfer to a local line heading to Aizu-Wakamatsu Station. From there, take the JR Tadami Line to Aizu-Miyashita Station, followed by a bus or taxi to Michi-no-Eki Ozekaido Mishima-juku from which this magical view is a 10-minute walk.
