You’ll encounter many Buddhist temples and Shinto shrines in Japan, but few are quite as unique as Aizu Sazaedo, a temple in Aizu-Wakamatsu in Fukushima Prefecture. 😍 This mysterious three-storied wooden pagoda is famed for its unique double helix staircase, so the people going up never pass the people going down! It’s so one-of-a-kind that it’s been recognised as an Important Cultural Property of Japan.
