What’s your favourite thing to do when you’re in Kyoto? While some may say visiting the Zen rock gardens at Ryoanji Temple or strolling through the mystical bamboo forest at Arashiyama, did you know that you can also try your hand at some of the city’s 70-odd traditional arts and crafts? We’ve highlighted some of the amazing work done by two families from Kyoto: the Kojima brothers, who are master lantern makers from their 200-year-old family business, Kojima Shoten, and the Uenaka brothers, sons of a kimono artisan, who are experts at gold-leaf gilding and Kyo-Yuzen dyeing. #VisitJapanAU #Tradition
