Nestled deep within the mountains in Yamaguchi Prefecture lies Akiyoshido Cave, one of the largest limestone caves in Japan!
Filled with spectacular limestone features formed over tens of millions of years from an ancient coral reef, there are three entrances to the cave (the Akiyoshido Entrance, the Kurotani Entrance, or through an elevator) where the various chambers are beautifully illuminated and easily traversed via walkways. 📷 Stunningly captured by @markusruci. #VisitJapanAU #Nature
