DANCE THE NIGHT AWAY
The Awa Odori Festival in Tokushima, Shikoku island is well known throughout Japan for its traditional dancing and music for over 400 years. Groups of choreographed dancers parade through the streets, typically accompanied by the shamisen lute, taiko drums, shinbone flute and the kane bell. The festival runs from Aug.12th through the 15th.
