These star trails were captured beyond three shrine gates on the great tidal flat of Ariake Sea in Saga prefecture. At high tide, all three gates go half under water; at low tide you can walk to the far-most gate. Wouldn’t it be romantic to stay out all night listening to the rippling waves underneath twinkling stars?
