The Tokyo Aquatics Center and the Ariake Arena, two out of the six permanent venues for the 2020 Olympics are close to being completed. Both located in Tokyo’s Koto Ward, the colossal sizes of the world-class facilities are enough to impress anyone. The Tokyo Aquatics Center will be one of the world’s largest swimming facilities with 65,500 square meters of space and roughly 15,000 seats, and the five-story Ariake Arena will be able to hold about 15,000 people. After the Olympics, Ariake Arena is expected to bring in more than 1.4 million visitors annually by not only hosting competitions but also concerts and musical performances, while the aquatics center will be open for competitions and the public to use. 📸: Ryusei Takahashi (@ryuseitakahashi217)
