Nago Castle Park (Nansugu kuen park) is famous as a scenic spot for cold scarlet cherry blossoms in full bloom in late January in Okinawa and has been selected as “Japan Cherry Blossom Election 100”. Both the fruits are cherry blossoms in Okinawa No.1.

Okinawa where cherry blossoms bloom earlier than anywhere in Japan. In midwinter from late January to February, Okinawa will celebrate the cherry blossom season ahead of the other. The cherry blossoms that can be enjoyed in Okinawa are the kind of Kanahazakura (scarlet cherry blossoms), and the petals are dyed in a deep pink color.
