The Shibuya Scramble Square building — 230-meters tall and housing 213 businesses — will hold its grand opening to the public on Nov. 1. Now the tallest structure in the area, the landmark tower will feature a rooftop observatory that looks over its namesake: the world-famous pedestrian crossing. (And those who suffer from acrophobes might want to give it a miss, especially on windy days.) Shibuya Scramble Square aims to bolster the area’s relevance as a hub for culture and technological innovation, and its opening is yet another step taken in the redevelopment of Tokyo’s most iconic district. 📸: Ryusei Takahashi @ryuseitakahashi217; Kendrea Liew; 📹: Mark Thompson @guchagucha
