Fairmont Tokyo’s meeting space is one of several new venues in Japan
Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has announced its first property in Japan with the opening of the Fairmont Tokyo, which will house one of the capital’s largest ballrooms.
The 217-room hotel will open at the end July and feature the Fairmont Grand Ballroom, which can accommodate up to 1,200 guests. The Sea space on the hotel’s 43rd floor features an open kitchen concept and 120-inch video screen, offering a unique setting for more intimate meetings and special occasions.
The hotel, located in the Shibaura district with views over Tokyo Bay, will offer five restaurants and two bars, alongside a spa and infinity pool.
The 252-room Waldorf Astoria Osaka offers 3,000sqm of event space.
The 252-room Waldorf Astoria Osaka opened in the Umekita District at the beginning of April, close to Osaka’s main station and the city’s historical and contemporary sights, including the designer boutiques of Shinsaibashi, the culinary haven of Dotonbori and Osaka Castle.
The hotel offers 3,000sqm of event space, suited to intimate gatherings and lavish receptions, as well as a spa with an indoor pool. There are four dining options, with Japanese-themed Tsukimi – which offers signature sushi and teppanyaki, available for private and semi-private dining experiences.
Patina Osaka is located between the Osaka Castle Park and the historic Naniwanomiya-ato Park.

The Patina Ballroom will accommodate 180 guests for banquets and 300 guests for receptions, while the lounge-style meeting space Kiri offers an area for collaboration and innovation, with seating for up to 20 guests. The signature restaurant P72 offers seating for 24 indoors and 40 outdoors, while the 32-seat Japanese restaurant, Barin, located on the 19th floor, serves teppanyaki with seating overlooking Osaka city.
