Osaka to Hiroshima & Miyajima in a Day! 🚄🏯🌊
We started our adventure bright and early, catching the 7 AM Shinkansen from Osaka, having breakfast Ekiben (train bento box) on board, changing in Hiroshima for a local train, and then hopping on a ferry from Miyajimaguchi to the breathtaking Miyajima Island (Itsukushima). ⛩️✨
We spent a magical morning exploring the island, soaking in the stunning views, and indulging in local delicacies (hello, Momiji manju! 🍁).
By afternoon, we headed back to Hiroshima and took a tourist bus to Peace Memorial Park, a place of deep reflection and history. Before wrapping up the day, we couldn’t leave without trying Hiroshima-style Okonomiyaki at Okonomimura—and wow, it was worth it! 🤤🔥
By evening, we were back on the Shinkansen to Osaka, feeling grateful for such an unforgettable day! The best part? All our transport—bullet trains, local trains, ferry, and tourist bus—was covered under the JR Pass.
