    Hey, hey, don't tell lies. Russia has nothing to do with this. Originally, in the early 1900s, entertainment district and red-light district were built in Nishinari-ku, Osaka, and a Skid row was attached to it in the Shinsekai area. It was a small, messy, and unsafe area, and people with a decent life were told not to go there. Now, for some reason, it has become a tourist attraction.

    Okonomiyaki and Tonpeiyaki are fast food for workers that can be eaten quickly and cheaply. There is a theory that the original okonomiyaki was a kind of crepe favored by the founder of the tea ceremony in the 1500s, so it has a surprisingly long history. The sweet, sour, and spicy sauce came from Kobe, which is very close to Osaka. Worcestershire sauce imported from UK was modified in Kobe to suit Japanese tastes and used in cooking.

    As you can see from the words “Skid row,” “brothel,” and “imported sauces and flour,” Osaka has long flourished as an international port dealing in foodstuffs. The world's first public futures exchange is located in Osaka.That is why Osaka is known in Japan as a “food city” or a “gourmet's town“. Have a good time!
