This hidden gem really is the best in the world for a winter break – with its famous powder snow and Japanese traditions.
Niseko is famed as the number one ski resort in Japan but offers so much more than just winter sports.
Here are my tips when visiting:
🛏️ STAY:
Chalet Ivy in Hirafu for a boutique stay or Park Hyatt in Hanozono Niseko for a luxurious stay within the Hanozono area.
🍱 EAT:
The best sushi I’ve ever tasted! Have an Omakase sushi and sake lunch at The Flats Lounge with a stunning view of Mount Yotei. Eat in a 150 year old Japanese farmhouse that is now a gallery and restaurant.
🏔️ EXPLORE:
Discover the beautiful landscapes by horse or on foot. Enjoy winter sports at 4 different ski areas.
💧 RELAX:
Rejuvenate with a traditional Japanese onsen. Visitors can enjoy “Toji”, the practice of relaxing in the geothermally heated, mineral-rich water as a form of therapy. There are plenty to choose from in the area.
