Japan Day 4: We climbed 300 steps to not see Mount Fuji
Day 4 of my Japan adventure was a mix of serene moments, unexpected twists, and pure relaxation. Here’s what we got up to:
🌞 Morning: We started the day at a traditional Japanese breakfast spot. The combination of miso soup, grilled fish, and rice was the perfect fuel for the adventures ahead.
⛩️ Midday: Next, it was off to the iconic Chureito Pagoda and its viewing platform, hoping for a breathtaking view of Mount Fuji. Unfortunately, clouds had other plans, and Fuji-san remained hidden.
🍙 Lunch: A quick pit stop at 7-Eleven turned into a delightful mini-adventure of discovering Japanese convenience store treasures. (The onigiri lives up to the hype! – but you already knew that)
♨️ Afternoon: We treated ourselves to some much-needed relaxation at Onsen Yurari, a peaceful hot spring with views that (on clear days) frame Mount Fuji perfectly. Soaking in the onsen was beyond rejuvenating! And to our surprise, Fuji decided to make an appearance on our drive over, making it that more magical!
🌌 Evening: The weather took a turn for the better, and we trekked back up to Chureito Pagoda for a stunning night view of Mount Fuji under a starry sky—it was magical.
🍛 Late Night: I ended the day with a solo dinner at CoCoICHIBANYA, trying out their famous katsu curry, then wandered the quiet streets, soaking in the calm vibe of the evening.
This day reminded me that sometimes the best moments come when you least expect them. Have you visited any of these spots? Let me know your favorite experiences in Japan in the comments!

Wow so pretty. Where would you go if you went back to Japan?! Anything you'd want to do that you didn't get a chance to?
