Hidden Tokyo | The Quiet Side of Shinjuku & Toshima City | JAPAN vlog

Exploring the lesser-known neighbourhoods of:
Waseda – a quite area with a prestigious university, this area has a beautiful Japanese garden and shrine, cool architecture and a cozy Jazz kissa.

Kagurazaka – often called Tokyo’s ‘Little Paris,’ is full of charm with its cobbled alleyways. It’s a great place for shopping and for playing a little ‘hide and seek’

Jazz Bar Intro – an intimate venue for live Jazz music

Toshima city – but instead of the busy Ikebukuro, we will be exploring hidden gems around Shiinamachi station, and riding the really cute IKEBUS

  1. I'm a big fan of silent vlogs, thanks for the gorgeous atmosphere of a peaceful journey! Your videos remind me a lot of Sol's work, were you inspired by her?

  2. Finally someone who gets that Tokyo is more than just shinjuku Shibuya and harajuku (the touristy area) and can appreciate the charm of the lesser known neighborhood away from the crowd

  3. Your videos are such an eye candy! I can't wait to visit Japan and see all those beatiful places with my own eyes. But for now, I'm living vicariously through your camera lens 🖤

  4. Why the Waseda El Dorado has NEVER featured in any Japan vlogs on Youtube has always baffled me. So many Youtubers are just terminally beige. There really is a glut of very boring people out there just following the templates set by other more creative, inspired, intellectually curious people with far more developed sense of aesthetics and culture. I won't name names but holy smokes it's sad. Thank you for showing everybody a glimpse of one of Jour Caux's most interesting buildings. There are others but this one is a particularly great one. The lobby area inside is unreal too, especially the giant carved hand and the animals on each of the residents mail boxes. So many things to discover in this amazing city. Thank you!!
