Winter Adventures: Ice Skating, Snow Play & Local Delights in Harunire Terrace
We spent a cozy winter weekend exploring Harunire Terrace and its surroundings! Our day started at Kera-ike, a frozen pond turned skating rink, where we played in the snow and took in the beautiful scenery. Mei Mei had a blast exploring and pointing out everything she saw. We stopped by Hoshino Onsen for a quick break before heading to Kisurin for a delicious lunch—can’t go wrong with local favorites. Sawamura Bakery was next, where we grabbed croissants for later. A quick grocery run at Tsuruya added fruits and essentials to the mix before we checked out the Dondoyaki Festival, where kids burned New Year decorations for good luck. The snowy views of Mt. Asama were breathtaking and made for some great family photos. We wrapped up the day with a quiet café lunch while Mei Mei napped, enjoying simple family moments that made the weekend feel extra special.
