❄️🌸 What’s New in Japan, Early 2025 🌸 Exhibitions in Tokyo, Theme Cafes, Festivals & more

There’s so much coming up in Japan in January, February and March 2025! There are lots of fun exhibitions, including Hello Kitty, a Pokemon Fossil Museum, a Ukiyo-e Immersive Exhibition and Takashi Murakami. Winter illuminations continue after Christmas, as well as winter and snow festivals, and you can take a day trip from Tokyo to see frozen icicles and waterfalls, which are illuminated at night, at the Ashigakubo Icicles in Chichibu. There are special promotions at Sushiro with Black Thunder and Cinnamoroll, and Kura Sushi has a new celebration cake. Japanese trains are amazing, so train news is always an important part of Japan Travel News, with new passes and tickets, and special themed trains, including Pikmin. There are also themed hotel rooms in Ikebukuro, including Black Butler and cute anime Monogatari, as well as my favourite, Tokidoki! Plus new cafes in Tokyo and Osaka.

  1. Hi Amy, thanks for the update! How many times have you been in Japan? Any plans of returning anytime soon?! Your guide book looks really interesting 🙂

  2. I think if this certain thing happens this month and I mean IF.. I think I'll go to Japan this year or even next month?

  3. The jacket is only via a giveaway and not for sale by the looks of it? That's a bummer. Guess Tokyo Banana Dr. Yellow Merch it is then. xD

  4. I love that there's always something exciting to look forward to in the new year there in Japan & 2025 won't disappoint here! I appreciate your travel news of Japan Amy & are you excited for Nintendo's new switch 2 system? 🤔

  5. So many cool things, I don't know what to choose. The Sake Train maybe… I'm most exited about going to Japan in early may, where I will se Band-Maid play live at Line Cube Shibuya on the day of maid, May 10th. Great video with lots of info and news from japan, as always.

  6. Could you maybe do a video about flying into Osaka? All videos on YT are about flying into Tokyo! Thank you!

  7. I saw the carousel and train at Kura when I was in Japan in November. It was so fun! Thank you for the updates.

  8. Thanks for the update! Where in Kyoto will the Hello Kitty exhibit be? That's when I'll be in Japan.

  9. Your videos are so helpful. Question if I’m travelling from Tokyo to Hiroshima on March 28 do you think I’d be safe just buying ticket around lunch time at station without pre booking? I’d be open to paying for green car just not unreserved as I have mobility issues and would need a seat. Reason I’m holding off buying ahead is klook wants to charge a $45 fee and thought buying right at station would be cheaper but want to ensure not all trains sold out. Thanks

  10. Oh wow Amy, so many great things to do and enjoy ! Thanks a lot for the amazing Japan news, fantastic job as always. Luckily for me, most of the special things are not longer here when we will be in Japan from March 4th to 28th, otherwise it would have been really difficult to decide where to go and what to include. What is still on, and looks very much like our cup of tea, is the Ukiyoe Immersive Art. I dont know yet if we can fit it in. We have only 3.5 days in Tokyo this time, and have already booked TeamLab Borderless, Harry Potter Studio tour and the ramen making class at the ramen museum in Shin-Yokohama.
