It’s been yearssss since i listened to this alternative version of L’Arc~en~Ciel and i was reminded of how the members switching roles injected fresh and cool takes to their classic singles (they were introduced as b-sides to singles they released from 2005-2011 and ultimately culminated to an entire B-side/Disc 2 to their album Butterfly released in 2012). To those who don’t know, bassist Tetsu switches to vocals, vocalist Hyde to guitar, guitarist Ken to drums, and drummer Yukihiro to bass. I would argue that the P’UNK versions of I Wish and Round and Round were even better than the originals. Which P’UNK songs do you think were better than the original versions? Were there other bands who did something similar?
