Winter in Sapporo ❄️ #japan #sapporo #hokkaido #japantravel #wintervibes #japantrip #fypシ゚

Ever thought of spending New Year in Japan, surrounded by snow? Our first trip to Sapporo in Hokkaido was a unique experience—so different from back home. No fireworks, many stores closed, and nothing extravagant, but that’s what made it special. It was quiet, reflective, and gave us our first snowy holiday. Plus, their winter illuminations were so beautiful!

This was part of an 18-day Japan trip. We landed in Tokyo, then took the Shinkansen to Hakodate (about 4 hours) and another train to Sapporo (around 3.5 hours). If you’re planning this route, book your train tickets on Klook to save time and money—use my code JAMIMOYKLOOK for discounts! If the 8-hour train ride isn’t your thing, a local or direct flight to Sapporo is always an option.

Either way, Hokkaido is worth the trip—snow, lights, and all. Who’s going there this Christmas or New Year?
