Oita-style Toriten

One of Oita Prefecture’s regional delicacy is Toriten (chicken tempura). Chicken pieces seasoned with sake, garlic, and ginger, lightly battered in wheat flour and then deep fried in a tempura style. Usually served with ponzu sauce to cut through the heaviness.
