[DAY 9]

📍Kyoto – had a free day to stroll around the area~

📍Nishi Hongwanji – historic Jodo Shinshu temple dating back to the 14th century

📍Hachida Tamotsu Shoten – got to visit my dad’s friend after 5 years! His family business specializes in making nenju 📿

📍Kyoto Station – very cool modern architecture

📍JR Kyoto Isetan – 13 floor department store connected to the station. So many nice shops and LOTS of amazing food & omiyage. We tried some bentos, chicken, meatball skewers, and tonkatsu 😋

📍Don Quijote – 1 floor located in Kyoto Avanti mall packed full of cool stuff. There was so much nail products, I was in heaven 💅🏻 lots of Sanrio. Did most of omiyage shopping here for Japanese KitKats & snacks before walking back to Aeon Mall for dinner

📍Gindaco – had to get takoyaki again 🐙🫶

📍Ikinari Steak – chuck eye steak was not good.. very tough 😭 hamburger steak was ok. Nowhere near as good as hamburger steak from Juju 🥹
