I remember flying Japan Airlines between Europe and Asia, late 1970s.
You could order Kobe beef on board and have it delivered to your door.
Wagyu wasn’t a term used back then and I understand it only means Japanese cow/ Japanese beef. At least “Kobe” gave it some provenance.
