Experience PEACE in Shiga, Japan | 30 min from Kyoto | Japan Mini Travel Vlog

✈️ Hi, it’s Misato. Thanks for watching!

🌱 This time, we visited Shiga Prefecture in Japan. Shiga is a beautiful prefecture close to Osaka and Kyoto, but it’s much quieter than those cities.

With hot springs, temples and shrines, beautiful natural landscapes, and Japan’s largest lake, Shiga has a lot to offer!

If you’re looking to escape the busy areas of Osaka or Kyoto and want a more relaxed atmosphere, Shiga is a great choice for you!

Here are the places we visited:

*【Places We Visited】*
Most of the places we visited are accessible by public transportation, but please check the timetables beforehand, as they may be less frequent compared to Osaka or Kyoto.

*1.NICOLAO Coffee and Sandwich*
There are two NICOLAO shops in Shiga. If you’re traveling by public transportation, we recommend visiting “NICOLAO Coffee and Sandwich KUSATSU COCORIVA”, as it’s more accessible by train.

*2. La Collina Omi Hachiman*
This beautiful shop offers sweets from the Taneya Group. The building and atmosphere are incredibly relaxing!

*3. Omi Hachiman*
A historical town in Shiga. It’s peaceful and uncrowded, making it perfect for a relaxing visit.

*4. Ogoto Onsen Yumotokan*
Some rooms have private hot spring baths, and there are also large public hot spring baths in the hotel. It’s the perfect place to unwind!

*5. Cable Sakamoto Station*
You can take the cable car from here to visit Enryakuji Temple. If you’re staying at Yumotokan, a free shuttle bus can take you to the station.

*6. Enryakuji Temple*
The famous “Konponchudo” is under renovation, but there are still many areas to explore.

*7. Kissa Reiho*
This café offers a nice view. When searching for it on Google Maps, use “Reiho” for best results.

Hope this helps you plan your itinerary! If you have any questions, please let me know in the comments!

    Hi, everyone!
Thank you so much for watching my first video.
Originally, I hadn’t planned to make a vlog while in Shiga, but I thought it would be a great idea to use the clips I had!

Since these clips weren’t filmed specifically for a vlog, they’re pretty short, but I tried creating a mini vlog with them.

    Hope you enjoy!

For more details on the places we visited, please check the description!
