I Survived a Typhoon Hiking MT Fuji
The title says it all. I climbed MT Fuji at the tail end of the 2024 climbing season when Typhoon ShanShan made landfall in southern Japan. While the typhoon itself didn’t hit MT Fuji directly, the system it created with insane rainfall and strong winds was already enough to “enhance” my experience on the mountain.

Would I do it again? Absolutely. I have been at the top of many mountains and this was the first time I have experienced this type of extreme weather at high altitude. I will always remember it :)!
