It is located in Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture.
This is the last castle of Tsugaru Tamenobu, the first lord of the Hirosaki domain.
It functioned as the center of Tsugaru for about 17 years, from 1594, when Tsugaru Tamenobu moved his residence from Oura Castle, until the second lord, Tsugaru Nobuhira, moved his residence to Takaoka Castle (later Hirosaki Castle).
It is closed in winter due to snow.
This is a video of a 49-year-old bachelor who silently visited the castle by himself.
