Otaru is such a solid day trip from Sapporo, Japan. In the short amount of time I was there, I went to Mt Tenguyama, known as one of the three top night views in Hokkaido, as well as the Otaru Canal area, which housed the Winter Snow Light Path Festival in Feb each year!
