Onomichi Dusk Walk from Hilltop Senkoji Park to Waterfront | Hiroshima, Japan 4K Sunset Ambience

I walked to up the hill to Senkoji Park to walk back down as the sun set over Onomichi. It is a popular walking route, underneath the ropeway, which had just closed for the day so there weren’t many people at the temple or even in the famous Cat Alley. There weren’t many cats in the alley either, unfortunately. There were plenty of mosquitos to make up for the lack of cats though.

Down on the waterfront there was a beautiful sunset as the ferry brought passengers across the few hundred meter straight to the neighboring Mukaishima, a small island in the Seto Inland Sea. A young boy can be heard calling across the water to friends on the more bustling Onomichi side, so close yet out of reach.
