Singapore to Sapporo WITHOUT Flying: Day 93

Singapore to Sapporo WITHOUT Flying: Day 93

Finally, some activities!

It’s the final day of the Thakhek Loop and Tash and I are praying that we can actually do some activities. The previous few days have been hit and miss due to flooding that’s happened during the rainy season. As we rocked up to Konglor Cave, we heard some good news. It was open!

Konglor cave was one of the highlights of our trip for me as I didn’t realise how vast it was. We stopped off several times along the way and marvelled at our surroundings. There were also some cute bats and a little village on the other side to grab a coffee. Lovely.

Next stop was also a highlight of the trip as we made our way to the Rock Viewpoint. Here we tapped into an adrenaline adventure as we zipped (is that the word?) on ziplines, climbed over obstacles and lost our minds on the spider web. This was quite expensive for South-East Asia standards but it was well worth the money imo. One of the funnest couple of hours we’ve had.

After this the day soured as we made our way back to Thakhek on a long drive. Of course the rain returned and after a few hours we were both absolutely knackered. We were grateful to get back to town and call it a day there. Thakhek Loop? Completed it mate ✅
