Singapore to Sapporo WITHOUT Flying: Day 97

Singapore to Sapporo WITHOUT Flying: Day 97

Well we’ve got to keep you Hooked somehow?

Tash and I start day two of the Pakse Loop by waking up at Captain Hook’s Guesthouse. This morning, Hook himself was giving us a tour of his village and it’s culture. He told to ask any question we like and he would answer openly. Many taboo topics were covered in our conversation and we came away with a newfound knowledge of his villages culture. Hook himself is one of the best-educated people that I’ve ever met, he seemingly knew everything about everything. If you do the Pakse loop, I cannot stress enough to stop here!

The rest of the day was spent on the road as we made our way along the loop. We did see a waterfall today and it was fairly nice. The weather, however… not fairly nice. We ended our day in a very small area with only a few buildings called Ban Dan. Not even sure it’s big enough to be called a village tbh.

Stay tuned for the next couple of days as we ignore TLC’s advice and go chasing waterfalls.
