  1. I am so happy to have gotten to ride the Tokaido Shinkansen line back in May and June. It was such an unforgettable experience for me. I was especially happy because I was able to ride the Nozomi train from Osaka to Shinagawa. I really hope I get to ride it again in the future!

  2. Been on these trains several times with my Japanese wife. The big stations are so confusing even she gets lost.

  3. I done this exact same journey from Odawara to Tokyo Station 2 weeks ago, an amazing experience. And seeing the non-stop trains speeding through Odawara while waiting to board was super cool

  4. Definitely going to ride these trains a ton when I finally make it to Japan – I'm currently saving up and planning for a trip within the next year or so! It's really hard to understate just how much the bullet train changed the world, and how modern it is, even 60 years after it was introduced! When the original 0 series first sped down the tracks, the UK still had steam trains in service; flash forward to the present day, and we still haven't really got anything that can compare with it. So far, our only real attempt at creating a full-length high speed line, HS2, has been a massive money pit steadily defunded by successive governments, and at this point it'd probably be more cost-effective to scrap it completely and start all over again.
