Singapore to Sapporo WITHOUT FLYING: Day 71

Singapore to Sapporo WITHOUT FLYING: Day 71

Call me Steven Gerrard as boy, I’m slipping. Welcome to Nong Khiaw as Tash, Happy and I take on a huge hike up the Pharkewlom trail. It’s the rainy season here in Laos which means that there’s wet mud. Lots of wet mud. Great time to go for a hike then right?

We paid $30 each (oops I said $20 in the video) to be part of a tour where we followed guides who would take us to the top, give us dinner and then camp. I’ll review the experience a bit more tomorrow…

The hike was one of the toughest I’ve ever been on and I kept falling over constantly. It took 3 hours to get to the top and it was a relief to be finished. I was covered in mud at this point but the views made up for it. Absolutely unbelievable and we were even lucky enough to see a rainbow up there. After playing cards and eating dinner, it was time to go to sleep. How well did we sleep in the tents? Well, you’ll have to find out tomorrow…
